1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Arciin ("we", "us") handles information when you visit our marketing website, request a license, or contact us. Arciin is designed to be self-hosted: your files and instance data live on hardware you control, not in our multi-tenant cloud product.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the arciin.com marketing site, checkout request forms, contact forms, and related emails. It does not govern data that stays entirely on your self-hosted Arciin instance, except where you deliberately send us information (for example a support ticket or license request).
3. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Contact details you submit (name, email, company, message).
- Plan interest and billing preference when you request Pro, Team, or Business.
- Technical logs needed to operate the website (IP address, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps).
- Communication history if you email sales or support.
4. What we do not collect by default
We do not host your libraries, passwords, AI chat history, or app databases as part of the free self-hosted core. Files on your server remain on your server unless you opt into a separate service (for example optional encrypted cloud backup when available).
5. How we use information
We use website and form data to:
- Respond to checkout and contact requests.
- Send license or checkout instructions you asked for.
- Improve the marketing site and prevent abuse.
- Comply with law and protect our rights.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with processors who help us run email, hosting, or analytics under contracts that limit their use of the data. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent fraud or security incidents.
7. Retention
Form submissions and sales correspondence are kept only as long as needed to fulfill the request, maintain customer records, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete contact data that is not required for legitimate business or legal reasons.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Contact sales@arciin.app to make a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect form data and email systems. No method of transmission over the Internet is perfectly secure. Your instance security is primarily your responsibility once software is running on your hardware.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
